What will you be doing!  

  • Leading the business development of new projects such as Electric/Hybrid vehicles, Fleetster booking system, and regulatory compliance projects.
  • Facilitating the licensing of CNL vehicles and ensuring all regulatory inspections are recorded in EAMS systems.
  • Acting as the Fleet Tool SPOC for transitioning from AVANTIS to the new system.
  • Collaborating with others to develop work procedures using innovative approaches.
  • Managing updates to the GEOTAB Vehicle monitoring system dashboard and coordinating stakeholder communications.
  • Reviewing and approving proposed changes to the Fleet & Equipment Tool, supervising the implementation by Computer Scientists/Engineers.
  • Managing GIR Fuel System daily activities and supporting contract and annual inspections.
  • Identifying assets requiring Condition Assessments and determining prioritized Capital Purchases.
  • Working with Procurement and Capital to ensure accurate asset inventories.
  • Reviewing and updating existing processes, identifying gaps, and creating necessary documentation.
  • Supporting day-to-day operations, including projects like the Site Electrical EV charging infrastructure.
  • Participating in the strategic and operational planning of Fleet & Equipment and Asset Management initiatives.
  • Leading Director-led initiatives and providing required reporting to stakeholders.
  • Implementing and tracking BioFuel usage and reporting.
  • Reviewing and updating fleet documentation and writing new documents as needed.
  • Leading the development of new MSA’s and participating in MSA renewals.
  • Providing leadership and supervision to the Fleet Coordinator role and overseeing students, contractors, and consultants.
  • Ensuring successful transition and operational excellence in new activities, projects, and facilities.
  • Focusing on technology transfer, knowledge sharing, and ensuring compliance and cost-effectiveness across projects.
  • Other duties as assigned by your manager.   
     

What we are looking for:  

  • Education 
    • University degree or college diploma in a related discipline.
  • Experience 
    • Experience with Asset Management of Fleet and Materials is preferred.
  • Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
    • Ability to comprehend or be cognizant of a broad range of technological and/or business issues.
    • Knowledge of CNL’s practices, procedures and organization is required.
    • Ability to work under pressure and conflicting priorities.
    • Good understanding of programs run in the facilities at CRL.
    • Computer skills including a good working knowledge of Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
    • Proficiency in both written and oral communication is required.

 

  • Security Clearance Eligibility Required
    • Reliability Status with Site Access Security Clearance (SASC), which has a minimum requirement of 3-5 years of verifiable history in Canada, Australia, New Zealand, the United States and/or the United Kingdom. CNL implements security screening in accordance with the Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat's “Standard on Security Screening” and the “Policy on Government Security.”
