To help achieve our business plan, Bruce Power currently has an excellent opportunity to build your career as a Mechanical Maintainer – Instructor.
The Mechanical Maintainer – Instructor will primarily support the development and delivery of Training through the Systematic Approach to Training. While this position will be hired as an Instructor, candidates will be fully qualified as a Mechanical Maintainer.
This is a permanent, full-time position which offers a competitive benefits, compensation and pension package and is located on site in Tiverton, Ontario.
What will you be responsible for?
Maintain and repair items such as compressors, valves, motors, pumps, turbines, hydraulic systems and generators
May be required to work from heights, in confined spaces, and in environments containing, respiratory radiological, chemical, electrical, and mechanical hazards
Provide feedback to technical staff regarding the condition of the equipment through dismantling, inspection and re-assembly in accordance with established procedures
Carry out quality predictive maintenance, preventive, corrective and breakdown maintenance, to ensure reliable system operation and ensure the equipment is in a good state of repair
Education and Experience
Candidates require an Ontario Secondary School Diploma or equivalent as recognized by the Ontario Ministry of Education
Candidates must hold a valid Ontario or Interprovincial License in one or more of the following trades;
Industrial Mechanic
Millwright
Steamfitter/Pipefitter
Boilermaker
Tool & Die
Ironworker
Welder
Candidates having experience with training development/delivery is considered an asset
Candidates MUST attach a copy of your Certification of Qualification(s) (CofQs) to your profile. Candidates that do not provide proof of CofQ will NOT be considered
