Job Description:
Aerojet Rocketdyne, an L3Harris company, is seeking a Sr. Associate, Industrial Security Analyst at our Redmond, WA facility. In this role you will perform a variety of tasks that are planned to provide experience and familiarization with the company’s security programs, methods, and practices.
- Supports a security document control system in accordance with the National Industrial Security Manual and operating unit policies
- Assists with security inspections to ensure that security policies/procedures are followed in the handling and storage of classified or proprietary materials, documents, and equipment
- Assists in the development and implementation of security training programs and appropriate countermeasures, education/classes and special subject briefings
- Monitors the policies/procedures for granting personnel and visitors’ access to the facility and/or access to restricted records and materials
Essential Functions:
- Supports Facility Security Officer and Manager Security by performing a variety of paraprofessional duties to include administering various security programs; compiling, maintaining, and monitoring statistical reports in support of the department security and special access programs. Coordinates classified material control, personnel security clearances, fingering printing and visitor/access control for the facility. Assists FSO with compliance program requirements for DoD, DHS and DCSA and other government agencies related to site’s Security program.
- Oversee and assist with unclassified visitor control. Review visit requests for completeness/accuracy and process for proper access. Coordinate background check screening and adjudication for contractors. Main focal between Government Trade Compliance on Restricted Party Screening and overseeing process for domestic visitor screening. Maintain security files, inventory and records including the various daily, weekly and monthly reports and performance metrics. Assist with processing security clearances for employees. Assist in the administration of security training programs, education classes and special subject briefings.
- Other duties as assigned to support the FSO and assist with security inspections activities to ensure that security policies and procedural compliance, etc. Assists in monitoring active DD254 (Classified Contract Specification) to insure that they are current. Maintain professional development by taking DCSA CDSE courses as assigned. Performs information and physical security tasks, and other duties as assigned.
- Compile and record data for weekly, monthly and annual security inspections and audits.
- Assist with processing security clearances, classified material control, personnel security clearances and visitor/access control for Special Access Program as directed. Maintains knowledge of and follows security controls and procedures for documents, hardware and areas as defined and required by the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual.
- Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a DoD Security Clearance
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. Graduate Degree or equivalent with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 6 years of prior related experience.

- Working knowledge of 32 CFR, Part 117 (NISPOM), applicable National Institute of Standards and Technologies (NIST) publications, and other relevant national security policies.
- Experience with using DISS and SIMs database
- Extensive knowledge with national industrial security policies and compliance programs
In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $64,000- $119,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
