Position and Responsibilities
Reporting to the Sr. Specialist, Industrial Hygiene, you are responsible for the supervision of the Radiation and Environment Technicians while ensuring that the monitoring/sampling requirements of the Environmental and Radiation programs are effectively met.
Responsibilities will include:
- Scheduling and planning R&E technician tasks
- Overseeing R&E technician training, training sign-offs and JTOs
- Supporting the respirator fit test schedule and fit test training for technicians
- Supporting SHEQ groups with tasks such as equipment support industrial hygiene program support and contractor management
Education and Qualifications
- Three year college diploma related to radiation protection, environment and/or safety
- Three to five years supervisory experience in a continuous processing environment
- Experience in radiation safety and working with radiation measuring equipment
- Experience in environmental processes
- Strong problem solving skills
- Attention to detail
- Self-starter able to multitask effectively
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong team player
- Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) and SAP
- Clear background check
