You will leverage your skills and experience to be part of an innovative team and make a difference for our customers. As a Technology Services Engineering Intern in Pickering, Ontario, you will be part of the proven team in the IB-Canada Business Line in the Installed Base Business Unit. Engineering students will support ongoing projects either in design phases or execution in the nuclear plant. Students must be able to be security cleared to enter a nuclear station. Your work will include:
- Track project progress, identify issues and assist with issue resolution working with the engineering organization.
- Support with creation of weekly reports to be discussed in customer project meetings, issue minutes and track actions to completion.
- Support with project set-up and monitoring.
- Support with creation of project execution plans.
- Support with purchase requestion requests and track issuance of purchase orders to vendors.
- Draft project scopes for sub-contractors outlining the project deliverables.
- Creation of a work breakdown structure identifying the appropriate task assignments, cost and time estimating.
- Develop a project schedule that displays Early Start, Late Start, Early Finish, Late Finish, Critical Path, and Float Time.
- Identify project stakeholders, prioritize them to define key stakeholders, and develop methods to work effectively with key stakeholders.
- Perform a basic project risk assessment.
- Estimate durations and costs on a project.
- Define the key elements needed to measure and report on project scope, schedule, and cost performance.
- Monitor project progress and spending using Earned Value Management.
