- Familiar with commonly used concepts, practices, procedures, and equipment related field
- Appropriate or related technical experience with equipment, processes and control systems used in plant, field or research applications
- Preferred ability to generate CAD drawings, if applicable, and using corporate standard software
- May require being familiar with corporate drafting standards
- Ability to interpret drawings

- Demonstrated knowledge/experience with associated codes and standards, including CSA S16, National Building Code combined with hands-on assembly and repair of equipment.

Your Opportunity
This full-time role is about making an impact on people’s lives and the future of clean energy. You will leverage your skills and experience to be part of an innovative team and make a difference for our customers. As an Engineering Aide in Pickering, Ontario (remote work will also be considered), you will be part of the proven team in the Nuclear Systems & Technology Business Line in the Installed Base Business Unit. Our Chemistry and Technology Product Line requires a new Engineering Aide to support planned execution work for current projects. During non-field work, required to support engineering activities to support design projects, procedure development/updates and provide for future growth in the Product Line, such as OPG Darlington program and Pickering B refurbishment. Your work will include:

Extracts and compiles engineering data, processes computer data using specified formulas and procedures.

With input of Engineering Leads, maintains Product Line resource schedules.

Prepares rough drawings and sketches and lists of materials following standard practices from instructions furnished by engineers, designers or other technical employees.

Performs other technical tasks to assist engineers in the performance of their duties following standard procedures.

May perform CAD (computer aided design) design.

Scan/copy drawings and provide other general administrative support activities as needed

Assists project engineers with design, procurement, fabrication, installation and startup

Assists plant and maintenance engineers with equipment repair trouble shooting, instrumentation and preventive maintenance procedures, spare parts, etc.

To play an active role in creating a safe and healthy workplace and comply with all applicable safety and health rules including personal dose compliance.

Installs, troubleshoots, assembles and disassembles, repairs and maintains tooling and equipment at Framatome & Customer sites.

Conducts a variety of routine field tasks including, but not limited to operating specialized equipment, taking measurements, compiling data and performing without error in high stress environments.

Maintains maintenance logs and certification documentation.

Works flexible hours and shifts, as required, to ensure timely service.
