Job Summary
Celeros FT seeks an Advance Sourcing Manager who can support tendering teams throughout the development of client commercial and technical proposals. The Advance Sourcing Manager will manage relationships with key supply partners of equipment (i.e., motors, drives, lube oil systems, mechanical seals and systems, gearboxes as well as other equipment) purchased in support of the Clyde Union Pumps product line.
The Advance Sourcing Manager reports to the Director of ITO Sourcing and will be part of an advance sourcing team supporting our globally positioned manufacturing facilities and sales offices. This role is intended to primarily support Celeros’ Burlington, Ontario pump manufacturing operations, but will also provide support to other Celeros sites as needed. The primary work locations for the Advance Sourcing Manager are Burlington, Canada and Houston, Texas, but the possibility exists for the right candidate to work remotely from an alternate North American location.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities

- Foster, develop and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with suppliers, Celeros FT leadership, peers, and sourcing team members.
- Actively support the global tendering teams to assure customer proposals include current, accurate, and cost-competitive costs and lead times for items to be purchased by Celeros FT.
- Work directly with key equipment suppliers to encourage strategic collaboration resulting in Celeros FT winning client orders.
- Represent the Celeros Supply Chain organization competently and professionally during all levels of internal deal reviews, sharing knowledge and clarifying the details of the equipment costs, lead times and risks within each bid.
- Passionately pursue the highest-quality equipment available while negotiating the best possible cost and lead times from the supply partners.
- Be a subject-matter expert on supplier capabilities and the focal point for sharing this knowledge with Celeros FT applications engineers, commercial operations leaders, and salespeople.
- Develop and maintain technical expertise regarding the products supplied to Celeros FT by establishing strong relationships with Celeros FT engineers and technical experts available to support the pursuit of world-class, highly engineered equipment solutions.
- Keep current with technological developments in the products purchased by Celeros FT and share this knowledge with the extended team.
- Actively collaborate with team members to enhance Celeros FT processes for the construction and submittal of proposal to clients, with a focus on speed and accuracy with full knowledge of incorporated risks.
- Following client awards to Celeros FT, assure a smooth and clean handoff of all pre-award supply plans to the execution arm of Celeros FT’s sourcing organization.
- Leverage strong commercial relationships with the key supply partners to occasionally support Celeros FT sourcing managers, buyers, and sourcing quality engineers to resolve the emerging issues with project execution.
- Be detail oriented always. Using existing tools to consistently track multiple supplier offers throughout the project bidding cycle, keeping current with changes in client technical specifications and coordinating continuous information flows out to the supply partners and back into the Celeros FT deal team.

- Competence in the Microsoft Office suite – Excel, Word, PowerPoint are prerequisites.
- Organized, with ability to manage multiple tasks professionally.
- Knowledge of industry engineering standards and product capabilities.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions in a clear and concise manner.
Education and Experience
- Bachelors in electrical, mechanical, or industrial engineering strongly preferred. Other degrees or significant industry-relevant experience will be considered.
- 3+ years of experience in sourcing industrial components built to functional specification, with prior experience with major electrical equipment such as motors and drives required.
- 3+ years’ experience in the industrial pump industry is highly preferred.
- Experience in reviewing detailed specifications and assessing corresponding supplier quotations both technically and commercially.
- CPIM or CSCP certification is a plus.
- Essential to have excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Prior experience supporting the construction of customer proposals/bid documents.
- ERP knowledge required, with SAP experience preferred.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally.
