We are looking for a Production Coordinator for our facility in Cambridge, ON.
JOB PURPOSE
To develop project or department schedules that will support shop plans and customer orders, as well as permit effective execution of work scope.
ACCOUNTABILITIES
Work List Development & Communication:
• Develop and communicate work list at critical facilities.
• Research statuses of jobs routed to the facility and expedite upstream activities as necessary to support schedule.
• Review work list with Shop Supervisors using reports generated from P6 and Excel as well as communicating via email, work lists at facilities and "white boards."
Recover Schedules:
• Produce recover schedules to bring critical jobs back on schedule.
• Review status of job and produce bed sheet based on outstanding activities.
• Review schedules with Shop Supervisors, Quality Control Manager/Supervisor.
• Monitor, update and communicate status, alerting stakeholders to any deviations in plan, initiating corrections.
• Integrate recover schedule with weekly schedules and, if necessary, reissue work lists.
Manpower Planning:
• Monitoring existing manpower, identify shortfalls.
• Develop overtime request lists weekly.
Materials:
• Ensure the timely availability of materials to support schedules.
• Review work orders and material lists as required, ensuring validity.
• Coordinate with shipping and vendors to have in-process materials returned in a timely manner, where required.
Issue Resolution:
• Help resolve shop issues that affect schedule.
• Initiate and chair meetings as required to increase communication, as well as expediting the required resources to ensure timely resolution to issues.
Updates:
• Provide current status updates once a week, make note of unplanned progress (positive or negative) and review with Shop Supervisors.
Communication:
• Communicate upcoming Customer Hold and Witness points, understanding schedule status of projects and shop plans as they relate to customer hold and witness points.
• Ensure understanding contractual requirements for notification.
KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE
• High school diploma is required.
• 5 years' experience in manufacturing atmosphere.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes and Operation procedures.
• Working knowledge of Blueprint drawings as well as planning programs (ie. Primavera) is an asset.
• Strong computer skills.
• Excellent communication, organization and interpersonal skills.
The base salary range for this position in [[Ontario]] at the start of employment is expected to be between $[[60,000]] and $[[93,000]] per year. However, the base salary offered is based on local job market factors and may vary further depending on factors specific to the selected job candidate, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to these considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, such as an annual cash incentive in addition to a full range of medical, retirement, and/or other benefits.
