If so, our Whiteshell (WL) location is looking for a Business Analyst to support the Business Operations, Performance Assurance (PA) & Quality department. What will you be doing!
- Establishing and maintaining Control Account budgets and schedules.
- Defining tasks, resources, and sequencing activities to optimize work completion.
- Building and maintaining detailed project schedules.
- Developing accurate project plans for unique and challenging projects, including nuclear facility decommissioning.
- Reviewing and approving resource charges to Control Accounts and ensuring accuracy.
- Monitoring and assessing Control Account performance and preparing variance analyses.
- Providing trend analysis of financial and schedule elements of the project.
- Preparing Estimates to Completion (ETCs) for remaining Control Account work.
- Forecasting activity and milestone completion dates.
- Leading baseline change control processes for scope, schedule, or budget revisions.
- Preparing dashboards and weekly/monthly/quarterly reports for management, clients, and stakeholders.
- Developing, implementing, and managing corrective actions as required.
- Communicating significant Control Account performance issues to management.
- Evaluating strategies to identify improvement opportunities including cost savings and accelerated deliverables.
- Managing subcontractor activity that impacts Control Account performance.
- Leading or participating in Make/Buy decisions.
- Other duties as assigned by your manager.
What we are looking for:
Education:
- Minimum two‑year college diploma or equivalent education and
- Minimum five (5) years of project management experience, or
- Minimum five (5) years of experience planning, scheduling, or work management.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) or master’s Certificate in Project Management is preferred.
Experience:
- Familiarity with large industrial facilities and decommissioning or construction techniques.
- Extensive knowledge and experience with project baselines and earned value management.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Knowledge of PMBOK or similar project management standards.
- Strong skills using project management and reporting software.
- Ability to build consensus and collaborate effectively.
- High integrity, professionalism, and discretion.
- Aptitude for learning nuclear decommissioning strategies and planning practices.
- Initiative, intuition, and sound judgment.
- Ability to coach peers and empower others.
- Strong organizational and record‑keeping skills.
- Punctual, dependable, and safety‑minded.
- Detail‑oriented with strong time‑management and prioritization skills.
- Ability to understand and interpret detailed technical information.

Security Clearance Eligibility Required
Reliability Status with Site Access Security Clearance (SASC), which has a minimum requirement of 3‑5 years of verifiable history in Canada, Australia, New Zealand, the United States and/or the United Kingdom. CNL implements security screening in accordance with the Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat's “Standard on Security Screening” and the “Policy on Government Security.”
Working Conditions:
Working schedule: Four (4) days per week, ten (10) hours per day for a forty (40) hour work week.
We have a compressed work week, which consists of a four‑day work week and ten hours a day — starting at 6 am.
- Physical agility required for bending, lifting, and mobility.
- Must be capable of wearing protective clothing and using required equipment.
- Ability to walk down equipment in the field.
- Work outdoors in temperatures ranging from +30°C to −40°C during field walk‑downs.
- Fieldwork in radiological areas may be required.
- Occasional overtime may be necessary.
