Cameco is one of the largest global providers of the uranium fuel needed to energize a clean-air world. The Role
As a member of the technical services team, you will report to the chief structural engineer.
In this role, you will:
- Provide structural design and CAD work in support of development of 3D models and 2D drawings, including all construction details for projects executed within Cameco
- Ensure design work is done in accordance with Cameco’s processes, procedures, standards, design criteria and regulatory requirements
- Be responsible for planning, drafting, modelling, checking and the quality of the civil deliverables
- Have excellent communication skills
- Can work with minimal direction within a multi-discipline team
- Provide strong leadership Display initiative and results oriented
Required:
- Diploma in civil engineering and/or technology
- Six to 12 years of relevant work experience
- Equivalent combination of education and work experience considered.
- A.Sc.T., C.E.T., or international equivalent certification Intermittent travel to Cameco’s northern Saskatchewan and/or Ontario sites by aircraft
Recommended:
- Experience providing design expertise in a mining projects environment
- Knowledge and/or familiarity of applicable codes, regulations and standards
- Knowledge and/or familiarity of software (Civil 3D, AutoTurn, Navisworks, AutoCAD)
