McArthur River, located in northern Saskatchewan, is the world’s largest high-grade uranium mine. The uranium produced at McArthur River is used for nuclear fuel products, which utilities around the world rely on to generate safe, reliable, emissions-free nuclear power. Cameco is one of the largest global providers of the uranium fuel needed to energize a clean-air world.
The Role
Reporting to the process supervisor, your role will focus on ensuring the safe, effective and efficient operation of the process areas.
In this role, you will:
- Be responsible for operating circuits as per outlined procedures and guidelines
- Be responsible for identifying, documenting and reporting any maintenance concerns to support continual improvement throughout the operation
- Assist senior operators with routine and project-related tasks as required
Required:
- Grade 12 diploma or equivalent
- Three to five years of mill operation work experience and industrial water treatment experience, preference given to those with uranium mill experience
- Equivalent combination of education and experience considered
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license
- Team player with excellent communication and organizational skills
- Will be required to work both on surface and underground
- Work a rotational schedule and commute to site by aircraft
Recommended:
- Potable water treatment experience
- Level 1 and 2 water treatment and Level 1 waste water treatment certification
Conditions of Employment:
Preference will be given to Residents of Saskatchewan’s North.

Cameco’s Northern Saskatchewan operations operate on a two week on/two week off rotational schedule. Employees commute to the site by aircraft from designated locations in Saskatchewan.
