Position and Responsibilities
As a key member of the UO2 production team, you work closely with other operators ensuring the safe operation of the UO2 chemical plant. Working a modified continental shift, you will monitor your specific area of the UO2 production process, control process start-up and shut down, troubleshoot process/equipment issues, chemical unloading and maintain facility housekeeping standards. You will adjust equipment, valves, pumps and controls to ensure production commitments are achieved in a safe and efficient manner.
Education and Qualifications
- Possess a post-secondary diploma in chemical or power engineering technology or a minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience in a continuous or batch processing environment
- Mechanically inclined
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Proven critical thinking ability
- Strong computer skills
- Clear background check
