About Us
Cigar Lake, located in northern Saskatchewan, is the world’s highest-grade uranium mine. The uranium produced at Cigar Lake is used for nuclear fuel products, which utilities around the world rely on to generate safe, reliable, emissions-free nuclear power. Cameco is one of the largest global providers of the uranium fuel needed to energize a clean-air world.
The Role
Reporting to the services supervisor, you will be responsible for general labor duties and operating a variety of mobile equipment to maintain the site facilities, roads, and airport in a safe, sustainable, and environmentally effective manner. You will have a strong understanding of the environmental aspects or potential impacts that can result from operating equipment. You may assist in training and monitoring junior operators when necessary and provide support to other trades on site.
Required:
- Minimum grade 12 or equivalent
- Up to two years of relevant work experience
- Equivalent combination of education and work experience considered
- Experience operating front end loader, bus, skid steer, vac and water trucks
- Willingness to perform manual labour as required
- Work a rotational schedule and commute to site by aircraft

Cameco’s Northern Saskatchewan operations operate on a two week on/two week off rotational schedule. Employees commute to the site by aircraft from designated locations in Saskatchewan.
