McArthur River, located in northern Saskatchewan, is the world’s largest high-grade uranium mine. The uranium produced at McArthur River is used for nuclear fuel products, which utilities around the world rely on to generate safe, reliable, emissions-free nuclear power. Cameco is one of the largest global providers of the uranium fuel needed to energize a clean-air world.
The Role
Reporting to the superintendent, human resources, you will be responsible for administering human resources services for the site. Working with HR, site management and supervisors, you will be responsible for matters regarding employee and labour relations, site recruitment activities, workforce planning and the delivery of human resources and employment benefits programs.
You will support front line leadership through employee coaching, training on corporate HR and site best practices, as well as the performance management program.
Required:
- A bachelor’s degree in business, with a specialization in human resource management
- Five to eight years of relevant work experience in human resources
- Equivalent combination of education and work experience will be considered
- Strong interpersonal, communication and coaching skills are required
- Work a rotational schedule and commute to site by aircraft
Recommended:
- A CPHR designation
- Experience using HR management information systems, specifically Success Factors
