All Bruce Power (Tiverton Site) student opportunities for the September 2024 academic work terms are in person placements. ** Ability to Travel to Site will be Required**.
Available Work Terms: 8-months and 12-month placements (see application for details)
Key Responsibilities:
Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets to optimize efficiency and report quality
Help prioritize business and reporting requirements
Develop analysis and reports to drive process improvements
Create dashboards using Power BI
Support initiatives for data integrity and normalization
Solve difficult, non-routine analytical problems, applying advanced analytical methods
Use statistical modelling including linear regression, probability distributions and forecasting
Develop risk quantification and management models based on a variety of internal and external risks to the organization.
Participate in driving business results and outcomes in specific work streams.
Influence maintenance programs by calculating equipment failure rates
Modelling and forecasting parts and material demands from all key stakeholders
Other duties as required
We seek students that:
Have a strong understanding of safety in the workplace
Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong organizational and planning abilities
Advanced computer and analytical skills
Demonstrates strong learning agility and self-motivation
Solid academic performance with a G.P.A. equivalent to 3.0 or higher
Current post-secondary studies in one of the following programs and will return to school upon completion of their work term:
