Cameco is one of the largest global providers of the uranium fuel needed to energize a clean-air world. The Role
Cameco is looking for a motivated, team-oriented professional who values integrity, safety and the environment and strives to incorporate those values into their everyday achievements. As a contracts specialist, you will develop and implement processes and procedures for the effective negotiation and execution of capital expenditure project contracts.
In this role, you will:
- Work with stakeholders in the formation of contracts, ensuring process and procedures are effectively executed.
- Collaborate with end users to determine contracting type and strategy.
- Developing and initiating requests for proposals, evaluating proposals, completing award yes
- Following Cameco’s policies, standards and codes. Liasing with stakeholders such as contracts administrators, procurement, construction, project management, and legal counsel.
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in commerce, law, or engineering
- A minimum of five years of experience, specifically in supply chain management
- A Supply Chain Management Professional (SCMP) or another comparable designation
- Experience in negotiating, developing, and executing large construction contracts
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Equivalent combination of education and work experience will be considered
- Travel to Ontario and northern mine sites as needed

Salary Range: $85,000 - $107,000
