NDE Operator
We are currently seeking a NDE (Non Destructive Testing) for our Arnprior team.
Specific responsibilities and accountabilities include:
- This job involves the ultrasonic testing (UT) of nuclear grade zirconium tube surfaces and the measurement of tube dimensions on a wide range of products. The proper use of precise UT measurement equipment and interpretation of UT charts is required to evaluate product so that it meets quality standards and demanding tolerances.
- Responsible for accurate calibration of UT equipment, UT standards, data entry and completion of report forms.
- Perform repetitive work without losing effectiveness
- Keep up with high-speed equipment and/or production demand
- Learn to operate machines, equipment and computers
- Understand technical terminology and developments
- Strict adherence to Job Safety Hazard Analysis, Federal Health & Safety Act & Regulations and all Plant Safety Rules/Protocols
- Identify safety issues and concerns
- Take corrective action; monitor the corrective action
Qualifications and Experience:
- This position requires CGSB UT Level 1 or Level 2 certification with a total of 400 hours in ultrasonic testing.
- In addition, must be qualified to the BWXT NEC Arnprior SNT-TC-1A Written Program, be certified as an NDT Level 1, be knowledgeable of ultrasonic testing methods and must successfully complete a practical examination administered by an NDT Level III
- The successful applicant will be required to adhere to and follow all procedures regarding this position
- Grade 12 graduate
- Experience in a fast paced manufacturing environment
- Able to work 8 hour rotating shifts
Selected applicants will be tested and interviewed.
The hourly range for this position in Ontario at the start of employment is expected to be between Hourly Pay Range: $35.40 - $39.33. However, the base range offered is based on local job market factors and may vary further depending on factors specific to the selected job candidate, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to these considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, such as an annual cash incentive in addition to a full range of medical, retirement, and/or other benefits.
