Role & Responsibilities
Job Summary:
- We are seeking a highly skilled Project Management / Project Controls Professional with 10-15 years of experience in the Construction, infrastructure, nuclear, mining, or utilities sectors. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading and managing complex projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role demands a deep understanding of project controls, including cost management, scheduling, risk management, and stakeholder engagement.
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning & Execution:
- Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, schedule, budget, and quality control measures. Lead the execution of projects from initiation to completion, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and client requirements.
Cost Management
- Competency in project budgeting, forecasting, and cost control processes. Ensure accurate financial reporting, manage project expenditures, and identify cost-saving opportunities throughout the project lifecycle.
Scheduling
- Create and maintain detailed project schedules, ensuring that all activities are accurately planned and tracked. Use scheduling tools (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project) to monitor progress and identify potential delays.
Risk Management
- Identify, assess, and manage project risks. Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies to ensure that potential issues are addressed proactively and do not impact project delivery. Experience in risky analysis software would be an advantage
Stakeholder Engagement
- Were necessary, serve as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and internal teams. Facilitate effective communication and ensure that all parties are informed of project progress, changes, and issues.
Quality Assurance
- Ensure that all project deliverables meet or exceed quality standards. I
Reporting & Documentation:
- Prepare and present regular project status reports, including progress, risks, and financial performance. Ensure that all project documentation is up-to-date, accurate, and in compliance with industry and regulatory standards where applicable.
Qualifications / Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related field.
- 10-15 years of experience in project management or project controls within the construction, infrastructure, nuclear, mining, or utilities industries.
- Proven experience managing large-scale projects, with a strong track record of successful delivery.
- Expertise in project management software, including Primavera P6 and MS Project.
- Strong understanding of cost management, budgeting, and financial reporting.
- Excellent risk management skills, with experience developing and implementing risk mitigation plans.
- Strong leadership abilities, with experience leading cross-functional teams.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- PMP or similar project management certification is preferred.
