Summary of the Position:
We are seeking an Environmental Project Engineer or Environmental Scientist to support project managers with a variety of environmental management and contaminated sites projects in either our Ottawa or North York, Ontario offices. Candidates in the Greater Toronto Area may also be considered.
This is an excellent opportunity for an environmental professional with 3-7 years’ of environmental site assessment and remediation experience looking to gain additional exposure in a consulting environment. Key tasks include but are not limited to coordination and oversight of groundwater and surface water sampling and monitoring; surveying; soil sampling; drilling and well installation; data entry and interpretation, remediation system operation and maintenance, budgeting, and report writing.

The ideal candidate:
- An undergraduate or graduate degree in Earth Sciences or Engineering (Environmental, Civil or Geological) is preferred.
- Ideal candidates will possess 3-7 years of direct or related experience, in the areas of contaminated site investigation and remediation programs including Phase 1/Stage 1 investigations, field investigation and monitoring programs, field management and coordination of contractors during site investigations and remedial programs, report writing and interpretation of provincial and federal environmental regulations.
- Professional designation and/or ability to obtain a professional designation (ie: P.Eng, P.Geo, EIT, etc).
- Any additional experience in mining reclamation/remediation or human and ecological risk assessment would also be a benefit.
- Strong verbal and written communicative skills are essential.
