The Buildings and Facilities group in Toronto provide mechanical and electrical design for all types of buildings in the commercial, institutional, and recreational market. Our clients and projects are varied and diverse. The office is a high energy workspace where we work closely as a team to meet the requirements and deadlines for our clients.
We are looking for a Field Reviewer, Mechanical to join our growing team in North York, Ontario.
Your role within the team
- Perform site walkthrough reviews of mechanical building systems work in progress. Conduct scheduled inspections and/or special inspections as required.
- Prepare progress and deficiency reports in MS Word in a timely manner. Report on recurring design deficiencies and make recommendations for modifications of design standards.
- Conduct final reviews and monitor the resolution of punch list deficiencies for each project.
- Assess and provide feedback on contractors monthly draws. Work with contractors to resolve site issues.
- Review and validate as-built drawings for each construction project.
- Communicate with office design staff to identify and resolve design issues on site.
- Frequent travel to building sites across Canada.

The ideal candidate
- College Diploma or Degree in Mechanical or Construction related.
- Detailed knowledge of building systems, mechanical construction techniques, means and methods. Excellent knowledge of building codes, laws and regulations.
- Ability to independently resolve difficult technical problems during construction and occupancy stages of project.
- Experience as a mechanical contractor in the building industry an asset
- Computer Skills - MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
