You have completed a BS in Electrical Engineering, Nuclear Engineering, or a related engineering degree. You may have also obtained an advanced degree in similar fields. You have strong technical problem-solving abilities, interpersonal skills, excellent technical writing and verbal communication skills, have worked in an engineering role for at least 0-2 years and are ready to join Framatome and help deliver clean, safe energy and advance nuclear technology.

You may have also acquired the following skills:
- Completed BS in Electrical, Electronics, Computer or Mechatronics Engineering
- Elegible for registration P.Eng. In Ontario Canada
- Electrical Power Transient analysis, Relay Protection design and cooirdination, component specification and selection.
- Familiarity with Nuclear and Engineering processes, codes and standards (i.e. CSA N299, N286.2, N286.7, N293.7, C22.1, etc.)
- Experience with Ontario Power generation or Bruce Power. This experience can be obtained via Co-Op or Internship programs

As an Early Career Electrical/I&C Engineer in Kincardine Pickering, Ontario, you will be part of the proven team in the Design Engineering Business Line in the Installed Base Business Unit. Your work will include:
- Performs varied and difficult engineering tasks requiring application of established techniques and procedures.
- Assignments involve responsibility for planning/conducting a complete task or portion of a larger project under direction of more experienced staff.
- Provides technical support related to planning, designing, analyzing, constructing andmaintaining structures, systems and components.
- Performs routine and non-routine engineering assignments typically in areas of design, development, analysis, evaluation, testing, preparation of specifications, execution of field tasks and resolution of field problems.
- Ensures compliance with government, organization and customer engineering standards.
- Builds knowledge of organization processes and customers.
- Performs other related duties and tasks, as required.
- Utilizes existing and/or acquired technical expertise to find improved technical solutions to support the product lifecycle/replacement of current Framatome technologies
- Actively participates in solving technical issues identified by project management, business line management or by customer request with the objective to increase business opportunities for Framatome Canada Ltd.
Core I&C Engineering Focus Areas:
- Control logic, loop diagrams, wiring diagrams
- Process Monitoring
- Integration with PLC (Schneider, Rockwell, ABB, GE, etc.), DCS, SCADA, HMI
- Instrument Selection and Calibration Specifications
- Fire Protection System design
- Knowledgeable in all pneumatic, electronic, electrical, mechanical and analytical instrumentation devices, Process flow diagrams, functional diagrams, P&IDs, Loop diagrams, & Logic diagrams, test plans etc.
- Design of new control systems and system retrofits
- Prepare technical specifications and data sheets for cables, field instruments and procurement support to purchase I&C hardware, tender evaluation and review vendor documentation.
- Prepare field Instrument Calibration Specifications (ICS) documents
- Evaluate computer vendor products, consisting of system network design and network architectural documents
- Technical specifications/data sheets for system hardware components.
- Verify compliance to Hardware/software qualification requirements.
- Software categorization and software vendor documentation acceptance and work coordination
- Prepare and review design plans, drawing surveys and electrical and instrumentation and control calculations
- Production and/or review of specification of fiber, copper and wireless network components
- Analysis of I/O loading, power and heat calculations, and hardware specifications
Core Electrical Engineering Focus Areas:
- Power distribution, Motor Control Centers and Switchgear, High Voltage Systems and Equipment Design including Electrical Relay protections and coordination schemes
- Electrical Relay protections schemes
- Lighting design, Lightning protection, Grounding
- Battery and UPS sizing and design
- Amplifiers, Digital and Analog filters
- Knowledge of Electrical transient analysis using software tools such as ETAP
