Portfolio Director

The Portfolio Director will play a pivotal role in driving growth of the Mineral Processing and Smelting business within AtkinsRealis, helping drive sales by understanding the needs of the customer and identifying technical solutions to resolve those pain points, articulating these solutions to customers through face to face and virtual meetings and through proposals to these customers, and serving as a senior technical resource supporting the successful execution of these projects.
This position is designed for a strategic leader who has the technical ability to understand and solve customer issues and the interpersonal skills to be able to get in front of those customers, with support from business development and leadership.

Your role within the team:
- Sales Leadership
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions.
- Conduct market analysis to identify new business opportunities and drive growth within the portfolio.
- Contribute or lead the development of key proposals including articulating appropriate and innovative technical solutions to drive sales success.
- Project Oversight and Support
- Lead project teams to ensure successful delivery of projects within budget and on schedule.
- Contribute as a Subject Matter Expert or reviewer supporting studies from conceptual to feasability studies, and to a lesser extent execution projects.
- Mentorship
- Serve as a mentor to the Process team, coaching staff on both technical and business issues

The ideal candidate:
- Education:
- Master’s degree in Engineering or a related field; PhD degree not required but preferred.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in delivering projects.
- Experience in managing projects with a focus on delivering results.
- Skills:
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide teams.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective client engagement.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
Additional Requirements:
- Ability to travel as needed for client meetings. It is envisioned that the candidate will travel extensively with the VP of Business Development.
