Technical Services Engineer Student

Location – Richmond, BC
Your role within the team:
- Support improvement of maintenance processes by reviewing and revising documents for consistency.
- Creating new maintenance workflows and supporting documents with the direction of senior maintenance staff.
- Extract critical information for maintenance activities by reviewing and interpreting existing design drawings.
- Coordinate activities on major projects by liaising with external consultants on new designs and retrofits.
- Mark-up existing drawings and create new drawings and sketches to convey technical information to maintenance staff and vendors.
- Learn and coordinate the activities of our maintenance department.
- Conduct on-site visits to understand maintenance processes, gather data and measurements for supporting implementation of new asset maintenance solutions.
- Propose novel solutions to existing problems and take the initiative in improving processes.
- Full-time office work with occasional field work.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Working towards a degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Strong technical writing skills.
- Prior co-op or internship experience in engineering, maintenance, or construction industries.
- Aptitude for hands-on work.
- Experience with Microsoft Excel.
- Basic code writing abilities.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Experience with CAD software.
- Interest in rail transit systems.
- Desire for a wide range of experience in a unique operating environment.
