Position and Responsibilities
As a member of the UF6 Production Department, the candidate will provide support to the Production Engineering team and UF6 Operations. A focus of the Production Engineering team is to improve safety, environmental performance and efficiently achieve required production targets. The selected candidate will be required to submit information for a site security clearance.
Education and Qualifications
- intermediate or junior level student in engineering
- strong oral and written communication skills
- computer and process control knowledge
Assets:
- ability to read and interpret technical documents such as process & instrument drawings, equipment specifications, and mechanical drawings
- experience in project management
- experience in industrial automation and control
Tasks will be assigned according to the background and interests of the selected candidate but may include the following:
- developing analytics and automation with use of SCADA systems
- developing electronic reports and dashboards using process data
- providing support to projects, design changes and corrective actions
- completing engineering design calculations for process equipment sizing such as pumps, piping, valves, heat exchangers, flowmeters
- reviewing and developing operating instructions
- reviewing drawings and files and compiling reports
Tasks will be performed under the supervision of an experienced and qualified member of the Production Engineering team. Activities shall be in compliance with site and corporate policies and applicable provincial and federal regulations.
