Design & Construction Circularity Specialist

Due to the success of our growing airports portfolio in the Greater Toronto Area, we are hiring for a Design & Construction Circularity Specialist to join our growing team. The Specialist will be responsible for leading and overseeing the successful delivery of complex projects within the organization, ensuring that they are executed according to scope, schedule, cost, quality standards, and risk management protocols. The incumbents require a wealth of experience in managing large infrastructure projects, particularly in the context of international airport development or other similar complex programs.
Location - Toronto, ON
Your role within the team:
- Coordinates construction sustainability goals and requirements for recycling, reuse, and disposal.
- Work closely with other Senior Project Managers and Construction Managers to assist the Program Lead in delivering project objectives.
- Partner with the Program Lead to track contractor performance, addressing any issues and escalating decisions when necessary.
- Interface with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment and obtain required consultations and approvals.
- Work with the contractor to secure essential permits, approvals, and consents while managing site logistics to support smooth project execution.
- Oversee the completion of work in accordance with scope, timelines, costs, quality standards, and risk management protocols.

The ideal candidate:
- A recognized degree and professional designation in a relevant field are considered an asset, along with excellent communication skills and the ability to facilitate stakeholder meetings and workshops.
- Typically, a minimum of 5 years of professional experience in the environment, energy, or sustainable design sector.
- Experience delivering sustainability outcomes in the infrastructure sector is desirable, especially for large complex programs. Work on reduction of embedded carbon in building materials and net-zero GHG facilities is desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to manage teams effectively and deliver complex projects and programs successfully.
