Junior Civil CAD Designer

Your role within the team:
This position requires working on fast paced technically complex projects in the nuclear industry. Typical duties and essential functions will include but not be limited to the preparation, design, modification, coordination, and/or review of the following:
- Assist with AutoCad Change Paper drawings for several project scopes in knowledge
sharing atmosphere. Change Paper training will be provided. - Coordinate AutoCad drawing requirements within the team.
- Assist with the management of AutoCad drawings within the Candu TRAK system.
TRAK training will be provided. - Prepare AutoCad drawings (relative to the discipline) of minimal complexity. As
requested, implement any necessary design changes with assistance from more senior
staff. - Ensure CAD file configuration management and storage are as per procedure.
- Follow client driven file management systems for document storage.
- Prepare engineering deliverables for both nuclear and conventional systems in
accordance with AtkinsRéalis Nuclear Inc. / Candu Energy Quality Assurance Programs
and project requirements. - Apply relevant Codes & Standards and regulatory requirements and coordinate with
design team to ensure the compliance. - Interface with Engineering teams, throughout the lifecycle of the design project (i.e.,
from preliminary and conceptual engineering to detailed design, implementation and
close-out) to provide practical and effective solutions as per requirements. - Must be “One-Team” oriented with a demonstrated ability to work well with others and
promote a positive work environment.

The ideal candidate:
- College diploma or equivalent work experience with a minimum of 0-2 years in
AutoCad design and drafting. - Individuals are expected to have some basic academic knowledge of 3D CAD
applications. Knowledge of REVIT an asset. - Continue to learn the fundamentals of CAD techniques through job experience, coaching and training to reach a higher competency level.
