JOB PURPOSE:
The History Docket Specialist works closely with the Quality and Operations functions to ensure the timely and accurate completion of History Dockets required for all parts. History Dockets are a vital aspect of the production process, and a customer deliverable together with the manufactured product.
JOB STRUCTURE & COMMUNICATIONS:
The History Docket Specialist reports to the Operational Process Manager and has no direct reports. This role communicates with Quality Assurance, Quality Control, Production, Engineering and Document Control internally, and interacts with the Customer Inspectors on occasion.
ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Prepare history files and dockets as required, which includes cataloging and gathering information to compile the docket file (e.g.waterfall, matrix as applicable).

Coordinate and ensure that all drawings, materials, and reports are part of the history docket.

Review all documents for completeness and accuracy, ensuring the customer has signed off and the authorized inspection is completed.

Review vendor documentation to ensure accuracy of records and input and maintain the information in database.

Track progress of dockets so that status can be given regarding completion.

Enter data into traceability matrix when required.

Ensure that all work orders and non-conformance reports are closed before shipment as well as coordinating the shipping of history dockets.

Work with Quality Assurance Manager to maintain History Docket Quality and Productivity metrics to ensure customer satisfaction with regards to on-time delivery and HD quality.

Additional Administrative Accountabilities: (As the HD Process May Require)

Scanning (PDF), authenticating, OCR and save all files electronically in electronic folders. Paper copies of documentation is filed in the Quality Records Vault till the Project is complete

Make a copy (when required) of history docket, scan and make CD for customer.

Create and submit CMTR (Certified Material Test Reports) and Certificates of Compliance etc. for review and approval to Quality for applicable projects

Close out work orders, nonconformance reports, reworks, PWHT and condition reports while ensuring that document retention is accurate.

Provide nameplate and stamping information to the shop
KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:
-
Post-secondary education in Administration or Quality Engineering or equivalent education and/or experience required.

3 years of experience in a technical administration.

Strong knowledge of manufacturing sequence and product experience in a manufacturing environment

Experience working in an environment requiring detailed traceability of parts and documents, preferably in the aerospace or nuclear industries.

Proficient in the use of Excel and Word.

Excellent relationship and communication skills.

Highly organized and able to manage priorities.

Ability to focus and concentrate on fine details

The rate for this position in Ontario at the start of employment is expected to be between $44,000 and $69,000 per hour. The rate offered is based on market location and may vary further depending on individualized factors for job candidates, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to those same considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, such as a full range of medical, retirement, and/or other benefits.
