Location - Mississauga, ON
The Project Coordinator will report to the Cernavoda Unit 1 Life Extension Project Manager and will be responsible for supporting the C1 Life Extension project planning and execution team. This role will require continuous communication with all members of the Project Management team as well as members of the C1 Program, as well as Consortium Partners. This role will be responsible for identifying, planning, leading, and implementing various scopes of work.
For growth of the candidate, we may also rotate the successful employee through short-term assignments in other Candu Energy or AtkinsRéalis Nuclear project teams, to expose them to broader parts of the organization.
Your role within the team:
- Responsible for assigned scope of the project and accountable for performing duties that facilitate work progressing with safety, quality, schedule, cost, and contractual requirements.
- Coordinates with Engineering to ensure all activities are progressing as per project schedule.
- Coordinates progress meetings, status updates and other planning and execution workshops as needed.
- Working closely with project controls team to provide project cost forecasting, progress tracking, and performance metrics.
- Working closely on behalf of the project organization with the procurement team to support month-end reporting and progress update tracking and monitoring.
- Coordinating closely with quality assurance to ensure all quality requirements of the project are met.
- Liaise with key stakeholders as required generally including engineering, quality, procurement and tooling vendors.
- Maintain a positive relationship with client project counterparts.
- Provides status and progress reports in support of the Project Manager.
- Ensure a strong nuclear safety culture is reinforced continuously.
