Role & Responsibilities
As a Work Planner, you will:
- Execute the day-to-day development and maintenance of detailed project schedules using Primavera (P6) and Asset Suite.
- Prepare monthly schedule analysis reports, identifying variances and assisting in the development of mitigation strategies.
- Support the coordination of schedule-related activities across construction, EPC contractors, operations, and other project stakeholders.
- Lead schedule risk reviews, change‑management processes, and mitigation planning.
- Apply change management protocols, ensuring timely identification and documentation of scope and schedule changes.
- Generate reliable schedule forecasts to support project execution and ensure alignment with cost and delivery objectives.
- Assist in implementing planning best practices and continuous improvement efforts within the project team.
- Provide accurate and timely schedule updates to support internal reporting and client communications.
- Engage field teams for real‑time progress validation and variance analysis.
Qualifications / Requirements
- Technical diploma or university degree, with a minimum of 7 - 15 years of relevant project experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Demonstrated hands-on experience with complex capital project planning—preferably in Nuclear Generation
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules in Primavera P6 and Asset Suite.
- Coordinate across construction, EPC contractors, operations, and other stakeholders to align schedule, cost, and scope.
- Apply project controls (cost estimating, earned value, forecasting) best practices.
- Strong working knowledge of project control processes such as cost estimating, change management, forecasting, and earned value.
- Able to work independently and collaboratively to meet deliverables under tight timelines.
- Strong problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and analytical rigor.
- Effective communicator with solid writing and verbal reporting skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with project control systems and reporting tools is a strong asset.
