BIM Analyst

The BIM Analyst is responsible for supporting the project team in creating BIM framing models for a variety of projects in Nuclear. To be successful in this role the individual must be a team player who is able to work collaboratively with internal or client teams to specify, create, monitor, and optimize the BIM model.
Your role within the team:
- Works alongside the Design/Project Manager to integrate outcomes and link information delivery with design delivery.
- Manage BIM coordination meetings.
- Works with external parties involved in project delivery to ensure information exchange between all parties is planned, structured, and well managed.
- Works with internal or Client teams to help facilitate the set up and delivery of Information Management programs.
- Works with the project team to embed the ethos of BIM delivery, including focused appraisal of the team's capability and requirements for training.
- Sets out the information exchange protocols, focusing on interoperability, program compliance, QA, frequency, purpose of exchange.
- Manages the project Common Data Environment (CDE).
- Brings to life the interdependencies of information in design delivery and embodies the contractual deliverables through a structured Master Information Delivery Plan.
- Establish the Project BIM standards for all disciplines.
- Research & Develop innovative solutions for automation of certain tasks for the Design Team.
- Stay on top of new BIM technologies and train appropriate team members.
- Assist in troubleshooting for daily BIM issues.
- Works with the document control and design team to ensure delivery of the information requirements is in line with established plans or procedures.

The ideal candidate:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Architectural, Engineering or Construction Management program.
- 3-5 years’ experience in BIM (Building Information Modeling), CAD technology, solids modeling, or related field.
- Experience with Information Management principles, standards, and best practices.
- Experience implementing and/or using a CDE (Common Data Environment) such as Hexagon SmartPlant.
- Professional demeanor.
- Detail and accuracy oriented.
- Ability to effectively communicate thoughts and technical ideas both verbally and in written form.
- Driven and enthusiastic with an eagerness to learn.
