Key Lake, located in northern Saskatchewan, is the world’s largest high-grade uranium mill. The uranium milled at Key Lake is used for nuclear fuel products, which utilities around the world rely on to generate safe, reliable, emissions-free nuclear power. Cameco is one of the largest global providers of the uranium fuel needed to power a secure energy future.
The Role
You will be responsible for the day-to-day analysis of laboratory samples by wet chemistry and instrumentation methods.
In this role, you will:
- Participant in quality control activities within the lab operations and assist with corrective and preventative action planning and implementation. Perform maintenance of analytical equipment in the lab, mill and mine, and provide coverage to the McArthur River satellite lab as needed.
Required:
- Chemical technology diploma
- Up to three years of relevant work experience
- Equivalent combination of education and work experience considered
- Working knowledge of chemical laboratory principles and procedures
- Effective organizational and analytical skills
- Solid team player with a willingness to learn
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize and work with minimal supervision
- Positive attitude, diligence, and committed to safe work practices
- Ability to lift and maneuver up to 40 lbs
- Willing to work a rotational schedule and commute to site by aircraft
Recommended:
- Experience with an x-ray fluorescent spectrometer
- Experience with Microsoft Office suite and SAP
- Working knowledge of LIMS

Preference will be given to Residents of Saskatchewan’s North (RSN).
The Key Lake operation is located in northern Saskatchewan and operates on a two week on/two week off rotational schedule. Employees commute to the site by aircraft from designated locations in Saskatchewan.
