Cameco is one of the largest global providers of the uranium fuel needed to power a secure energy future. The Blind River refinery is part of Cameco’s Fuel Services Division.
Position and Responsibilities
This role provides high-level administrative support with professionalism, discretion, and attention to detail. The successful candidate will interact effectively across all levels of the organization and serve as a key liaison for internal and external stakeholders.
Supervises and coordinates activities of administrative staff at the Blind River refinery. Liaises with other business units to ensure consistent application of programs, processes, and procedures. Coordinates with stakeholder groups to provide standardization of processes. Provides guidance for process improvements and implementation. Takes initiative to determine solutions to problems/issues that arise.
Key Responsibilities
- Primary support for the General Manager, including calendar management, travel coordination, and visitor logistics.
- Manages administrative processes to ensure continual improvement and alignment with systems/processes.
- Plans and implements projects to meet targets/objectives.
- First point of contact for Corporate and Fuel Services Division inquiries.
- Responsible for complex and confidential assignments.
- Oversees task progress from initiation to completion, ensuring timely delivery and quality outcomes.
- Proficient in project management tools and Cameco applications for tracking, reporting, and communication.
Education and Qualifications
- Diploma in Business or Administration
- Minimum of 5 years relevant work experience
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Planner, Loop) and virtual/in-person meeting platforms
- Familiarity with emerging technologies, including AI tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot) and secure document sharing
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
