The Role:
We are looking for a Senior Project Manager to join our Operational Excellence department to support projects related to the transformation of our Sainte-Anne-De-Bellevue office.
Supporting the Satellite Systems Division, the Project Manager would be responsible for scoping, planning, tracking, closing and ensuring on time delivery of projects.
As a member of the Operational Excellence department, you will be collaborating with various teams such as IT, HR and will be primarily supporting the Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Engineering and Quality disciplines.
Job Responsibilities:
- Delivering a variety of projects (ranging from simple to complex) on time and on budget to customer requirements
- Managing projects from charter through execution and delivery
- Prepare project operating budget and maintain budgetary controls
- Assigning resources to project specific tasks
- Ensuring internal and external processes are followed
- Liaise with stakeholders to maintain effective relationships to instill and enhance confidence in our solutions
- Preparing documentation including charters, project management plans, requirements and design documents
- Acting as a change agent by Communicating project, objectives/advancement, and by mobilizing the team
- Maintaining hands-on control of the projects through application of PM best practices (Waterfall, Agile or Hybrid depending on the situation) including regular reviews and status reporting to the upper management team
- Identifying and managing program risks and opportunities including prioritization, mitigation, escalation, and resolution
- Engaging and managing 3rd party vendors and consultants as required for successful project execution
Experience:
- 5 + years of technical Project Management experience
- University degree in a relevant field (e.g., engineering, business administration) or relevant experience
- Experience managing technical projects
- Up-to-date project management knowledge
- Excellent written and oral communication - Bilingual French/English
- Familiarity with SciForma or other scheduling tools
- Project management training/qualifications/certification
- Familiarity with SharePoint Teams and Atlassian tool suite
- Self- motivated able to take initiative and decisions
- Experience in the aerospace industry or similar industries (an asset)
- Familiar with ADKAR change management Model (an asset)
