All Bruce Power (Tiverton Site) student opportunities for the May 2025 academic work terms are targeting in person placements. ** Ability to Travel to Site will be Required**.
Key Responsibilities:
Corporate Affairs Development Students deliver narrated bus tours of the Bruce Power site over the course of the summer and interpret the attractions inside the Visitors’ Centre Exhibit Hall.
Become familiar with Bruce Power's Business Plan and operational goals.
Become familiar with Bruce Power operations, the operations of CANDU reactors and issues associated with the nuclear industry.
Assist with building relationships with external stakeholders.
Represent the company at community events.
Be aware of corporate issues in order to respond to questions with advice or assistance from supervisor or regular staff as required.
Delivering presentations to tour groups.
Staffing the front desk.
Assisting with plant tours.
Opening and closing the off-site facility.
Planning of special events and the completion of small projects.
We seek students who:
Are eligible and available for a four (4-month) work term placement from May 2025-September 2025. *Please note this student position will involve weekend work*
Have a strong understanding of safety in the workplace
Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
Offer strong organizational and planning abilities
Demonstrate strong learning agility and self-motivation
Show solid academic performance
Currently attend post-secondary school and will return to school upon completion of their work term. Preferred programs of study (but not pre-requisite) include:
