Cameco is one of the largest global providers of the uranium fuel needed to power a secure energy future. The Role
Cameco is seeking a highly skilled executive assistant to provide strategic, executive‑level support to the vice‑president, mining and operational excellence. Based in the office, this role is pivotal to the effective operation of the mining division and requires frequent interaction with operational leaders and site‑based teams. Supporting the VP and mine general managers, you will act as a trusted partner, ensuring priorities are managed seamlessly, communication flows effectively, and executive processes run with precision. Your exceptional organizational capability, sound judgment, technical proficiency, and ability to operate confidently in a fast‑paced, operationally focused environment will be critical to success in this role.
In this role, you will:
- Be responsible for providing confidential administrative support which includes calendar management, meeting arrangements, managing email and department deadlines.
- Arranging VP travel arrangements/itineraries and reservations.
- Be responsible for administration of expense reports, cost reports, forecast reports and assist with department budget submission and reporting.
- Coordination of strategy planning sessions which include meeting invites and catering.
- Conference registration, logistics, meeting invites and itineraries.
- Work with a number of systems including Microsoft products, SAP/S4 and the document management system (SharePoint).
Required:
- business administrative certificate;
- a minimum of eight years of progressive experience in a corporate environment;
- equivalent combination of education and work experience considered;
- proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office products (Excel, OneDrive, OneNote, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, SharePoint, Teams) and Nitro Pro;
- strong inclination for technology and ability to learn systems quickly; and
- excellent written and verbal communication skills, and adhering to corporate standards.
Recommended:
- SAP/S4 experience; and
- experience tracking and recording budgets.
