Smart 3D Support Specialist

The Computer Aided Support Specialist Liaison supports 2D /3D CAD Tools interoperability with regards to the Smart Plant and its major modules including Foundation, 3D, P & ID and SDX and AtkinsRéalis integrated document management systems.
This role will be based in Mississauga, ON.
Your role within the team:
System level activities required to support the following products: Smart Plant and its major modules including Foundation, 3D, P & ID and SDX. This includes items such as:
- Participate in software certification, User Acceptance Testing and delivery processes, ensure issues are communicated to developers and software vendors as needed.
- Provide user support for: Smart Plant and Plant 3D.
- Maintain Smart Plant borders - security identifiers.
- Resolve software installation issues.
- Liaise with external vendors including IT developers to investigate unusual problems with software releases/ hardware issues, or to receive assistance with hardware and peripheral malfunctions.
- Develop/Review Plant 3D Piping Specs Defined by Piping Paper Specs.
- Customize SmartPlant 3D Catalog /Piping Specs; Support 3D Modeling; Customize 3D ISO Template/Style; Support 3D ISO Generation.
- Liaise with end users to define and implement enhancements.
- Monitor disk space and system resources and communicating issues to Engineering Tools.

The ideal candidate:
- College Diploma in a relevant field from an accredited institution and a minimum of five years of relevant experience.
- Knowledgeable with the software programs and operating systems.
- Capable of supporting the Engineering applications for which the branch is responsible.
- Ability to investigate, assess and resolve issues associated with hardware and software problems.
- Good verbal, written, organizational and presentation skills.
- Ability to effectively interface with staff, project management team, and internal clients.
- Demonstrate initiative and results-oriented performance.
