AtkinsRéalis is hiring a hiring a dedicated and experienced Construction Inspector to join our team. This position will be based in Toronto, Ontario. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring that construction activities meet the highest standards of quality and compliance. This position requires a keen eye for detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with various stakeholders on-site.
Your role within the team:
- Monitor, observe, and evaluate construction work to ensure it conforms with the Contract Documents and quality requirements.
- Ensure that the contractor is taking the necessary steps to meet quality standards.
- Ensure that all construction activities adhere to safety regulations and standards
- Identify and resolve any issues or discrepancies in the construction process.
- Prepare daily reports and provide updates to the Construction Manager

The ideal candidate:
- A minimum of 7 years of professional experience as a construction inspector or similar role within large infrastructure, airport or major project experience
- Minimum 3 years of professional experience in large complex projects.
- Minimum 3 years of on-site experience,
- Good understanding of reporting requirements and experience in providing management reports
- Comfortable working with a variety of stakeholders including contractors and other site personnel
- Recognized qualification in project or construction management or relevant profession.
