Cameco is one of the largest global providers of the uranium fuel needed to power a secure energy future. The Blind River refinery is part of Cameco’s Fuel Services Division.
Position and Responsibilities
As a member of the support services department, the trainer is responsible for analyzing, designing, developing, delivering, evaluating and maintaining position specific and SHEQ training in accordance with site training procedures. As well, the trainer is responsible for assisting with contractor orientation, fostering a positive safety culture, and increasing site health safety awareness through a variety of promotion activities. Other duties may be assigned based on knowledge, experience and skills.
Education and Qualifications
Requirements of the position:
- Post-secondary education in education and/or adult education would be beneficial
- A minimum of three to five years of relevant work experience is strongly preferred
- Strong leadership skills, excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Well developed classroom instructional skills
- Ability to work collaboratively and proactively in a team environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 suite
Assets:
- Experience in training analysis, design, and development
- Certification in instructional design or training facilitation
- Proficiency in Articulate 360 and e-learning design and development
