Mine Maintenance General Supervisor

In this role, you’ll play a crucial part in fostering a safe work environment while ensuring compliance to environmental protection and radiation policies through education and awareness initiatives. You’ll be responsible for developing, implementing, and enhancing the mine maintenance program, ensuring all mine equipment operates efficiently, and supervise the Maintenance Supervisors and Planners with a collaborative spirit. You will maintain a proactive maintenance strategy, assist with budgeting and planning, and manage inventory and cost control to optimize operations. Responsibilities include:
· Responsible for developing, implementing, recording, evaluating, and improving the mine maintenance program
· Responsible for the development, and continuous improvement, of the present training programs
· Maintain and improve an efficient preventative and predictive maintenance program and work order process
· Plan and organize maintenance work, for upcoming weeks
· Assist with short and long term planning, scheduling, and budgeting of departmental objectives
· Manage inventory and cost control
· Conduct investigations to evaluate or improve maintenance and warehouse inventories
· Ensure the safety of workers through education, awareness, and discipline
· Ensure compliance with quality management and agency standards
· Continually improve and add value to the mine maintenance program
· Ensure that regulatory, licensing, permit, and company requirements are met promptly
· Comply with all Orano health, safety and environmental policies, practices and procedures.
· Establish a documentation system to measure performance
· Assess maintenance from a technical viewpoint, document deficiencies, report findings, and suggest improvements
· Compile reports as required
Skills and Qualifications for the position include:
· Must have considerable maintenance experience in a similar role
· Secondary education is required (degree, diploma, or certificate)
o Preference will be given to those with a Mechanical background
· 5+ years of supervisory experience and demonstrated leadership capabilities
· Experience in Reliability based maintenance strategies, Operational Excellence, 5s, and Continuous Improvement
· SAP knowledge and skill considered an asset
· Must have good communication skills both written and oral
· Able to develop positive working relationships with all team members

Work Location & Schedule:
· McClean Lake Operations, Northern Saskatchewan
· Fly-in/Fly-out operation with on-premise camp facilities
· 7 day in/ 7 day out schedule. Adjustments will be required periodically
· Normally an 11 hour work day, although some activity outside or normal working hours may be required

Salary Range:
$149,600 – $176,000
Fly Day- This position will fly in and fly out on Friday
Pick-Up Points: Saskatoon, Prince Albert, La Ronge, Buffalo Narrows and the designated communities in the Athabasca region of Uranium City, Stony Rapids, Fond du Lac, and Wollaston.
As a condition of employment the successful candidate must complete Orano’s pre-employment checks including education verification and employment reference checks.
Drug (including marijuana) and alcohol substance testing is a requirement for all Safety Sensitive positions. Applicants who have recently used marijuana recreationally may not pass a substance test as marijuana can remain in the user’s system for as many as 30 days after use.
