Role:
Provides support to the maintenance/calibration group in the preparation and administration of equipment leased or in transit with service providers.
Performs administrative duties associated with the operation of the department.
Responsibilities/Work performed:
- Primary point of contact with technicians/engineers for all purchases and/or rentals of test equipment and/or supplies.
- Coordinates and arranges for instruments to be sent to the instrumentation department for calibration.
- Coordinates and distributes the instruments or supplies necessary for the laboratory’s operations.
- Packs the necessary supplies into kits for the laboratory.
- Prepares purchase orders for instruments and supplies.
- • Coordinates laboratory bench space with the various programs.
- Actively participates in projects aimed at the continuous improvement of the laboratory.
- Monitors and validates laboratory data and equipment.
- Actively participates in maintaining the 5S system in the laboratory.
- Performs any other related tasks.
Minimum qualifications required:
- High school diploma, secondary school vocational diploma or college diploma;
- 1 to 3 years of related experience. Good experience in customer service.
- Good knowledge of the Office suite;
- Essential knowledge of French and English, both written and spoken (Transact with suppliers outside Quebec).
