Position: General Purpose Worker

Hours per week: 40 (This is a shift worker position. Shift workers may be assigned to work 8,10 and/or 12-hour shift schedules, may include days, afternoons, nights and may be rotating shifts. Overtime, field and weekend work may be required.)

Accountabilities and How you will make an impact:
- Responsible for general office and laboratory housekeeping and cleaning needs, including but not limited to washrooms and change rooms,
- Assist with preventative maintenance programs for the laboratory infrastructure and equipment,
- Assist with laboratory infrastructure consumables and critical spares,
- Maintain equipment through routine inspections and repairs,
- Support and assist contractors who carry out infrastructure repairs or upgrades, including for capital projects or renovations,
- Support projects as required,
- Coordinate and manage laundry needs (coveralls, lab coats etc.),
- Drive Laundry as required from our Facility (ONSF) to Teeswater, Bruce Power or OPG facilities as required,
- Assemble, disassemble, move, install, and arrange lab equipment according to direction,
- Deliver goods to appropriate location,
- Scanning and filing of documents,
- Perform all duties in a safe manner in compliance with Kinectrics policies and procedures,
- Perform other duties as required,
What you need to succeed :
- Completion of High School or equivalent,
- Class D license or higher with 3 years minimum experience,
- Any other certificates or accreditations will be seen as an asset,
- Demonstrated customer focused approach to work,
- Ability to work in a physically demanding environment including standing for extended period, crouching, kneeling etc.,
- Good written and verbal communication skills,
- Strong capabilities in working with Microsoft Office suite software,
- Prepared to work flexible hours from time to time - Must be able to deal with frequent changes, delays, or unexpected events,
- Self-motivated and ambitious,
- Must have strong prioritizing and time management skills,
- Experience with workplace organization and safety standards is preferred,
- Ability to successfully obtain nuclear security clearance
