General Overview:
Kinectrics requires an Outage Site Supervisor to support the pre-outage planning, maintenance and execution phases of the BRIMS program. The Outage Site Supervisor will be responsible for outage readiness and maintenance execution at the client location and will be required to interface daily with the client.
In this role, you will have ultimate responsibility for ensuring seamless execution of the BRIMS maintenance and field execution program at the BNGS and the Ontario Nuclear Services Facility (ONSF).
In addition, you will be called upon to support and assist with other client projects as required to produce help mange resources within ONS.
This role also requires liaising with external organizations such as Kinectrics clients, municipal buildings departments, utilities, area residents, etc. The position will ultimately report to the BRIMS Program Manager.
Accountabilities: How you will make an impact
- Work as an integral part of the ONS team focused on ensuring safe and successful field execution of the BRIMS project.
- Initiate, plan, organize work in support of running an efficient team and program.
- Supervise work and prepare reports in a timely manner with recommendations based on OPEX
- Ensure that the field team has all the necessary training and support for Zero Incident Execution.
- Establish Field Execution guidelines, expectations, and governance for field execution.
- Actively support oversight of activities in the field.
- Mentor, coach and provide observations to the crew to support field execution.
- Perform all duties in a safe manner in compliance with Kinectrics policies and procedures.
- Lead daily outage calls and represent Kinectrics in client daily outage planning meetings.
- Maintain overall responsibility for the crew and outage/maintenance schedules.
- Participate in planning and development of technical proposals for theoretical studies and/or field investigations of Kinectrics or client problems in conjunction with senior engineers/scientists.
- Utilize project management best practices while performing daily duties.
- Ensure both internal and external customer satisfaction by following Kinectrics Quality Assurance program for all aspects of work performed.
- Perform other duties as required.

- Demonstrated capability and experience working with the inspection tooling.
- Demonstrated high level of initiative to propose and implement new business ideas in ONS.
- Highly innovative and creative in seeking technical solutions to Customer issues.
- Ability to identify potential new lines of work for ONS.
- Demonstrated ability to work on critical path during an outage for clients.
- Ability to manage time and budgets on Kinectrics projects and to work on multiple projects in parallel.
- Proven skills with a variety of software programs including Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint and P6.
- Strong customer orientation and commitment to Kinectrics and Business Unit goals.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team situation.
- Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Essential Knowledge, Experience and Qualifications:
- A four-year college diploma and/or a University education
- Must have advanced knowledge and practical experience in KI methods as applied to the inspection and maintenance of critical electrical generation components.
- Working knowledge and application of Nuclear quality standards and programs.
- Good working knowledge of basic generation plant design/operation related to CANDU Nuclear power plants.
- Ability to obtain and successfully maintain active site security clearance
- Willingness to work at customer sites.
- A period of at least 5 years relevant work experience is considered necessary.
