If you answered yes, we are looking for a Recruitment Coordinator for a 12-month term to support one of our Talent Acquisition Advisors in executing a talent acquisition strategy and driving a memorable candidate experience. In this role, you would focus on full-cycle recruiting activities and administration. At the same time, supporting our continuous improvement objectives, attending various career events and supporting various internal clients, internal and external candidates, external vendors, and more! What will you be doing!
- Administrative Support
- Setting reminders and follow-ups for active open positions ensures that activity is being actioned in a timely manner, ensuring a positive experience for internal and external stakeholders.
- Corresponding with hiring managers, bargaining unit representatives, candidates, etc
- Monitoring the jobs@CNL inbox on rotation with other RCs and responding to candidates' emails in a timely manner.
- Supporting, organizing and attending career fairs, job fairs, job pools and recruiting events.
- Reporting & Data Collection
- Maintaining and updating the Recruitment Tracking Spreadsheet and our applicant tracking system daily.
- Creating, maintaining and producing weekly/biweekly/monthly reports for hiring managers, including the status of active and upcoming positions.
- Full Cycle Recruitment
- Review Request to Hire Forms (RTH) for accuracy and solicit additional information as needed from administrators and hiring managers before posting on CNL’s ATS and external job boards.
- Reviewing candidate applications, short-listing them for the Hiring Manager and pre-screening those selected from the shortlist by the TAA or Hiring Manager.
- Providing Hiring Managers and panels with interview materials and sit-in on interviews (as required).
- Ensuring a smooth transition from offer acceptance to the Human Resources Service Delivery team and onboarding by creating the new hires onboarding ticket in ServiceCNL.
- Following up with candidates who did not move forward in the selection process via CNL’s ATS.
- Initiating and supporting relocation assistance program with our third-party vendor as required for new hires and assisting with any questions from the new hire.
- Student Coop Program
- Communicating to hiring teams the student hiring process and timelines to help them secure the best coop for the upcoming term.
- Reviewing student RTH’s and providing recommended changes for job postings to help ensure we are attracting the right skill for the position.
- Posting the positions via CNL’s ATS and communicating the advertising periods to educational institutions, identified students, etc
- Reviewing candidates' applications, shortlisting based on qualifications, and submitting them to the hiring managers for consideration.
- Corresponding with hiring teams to ensure timely selections of students, providing salary recommendations, offers creation and presentation of letters to students, etc.
- Other duties as assigned by your manager.
What we are looking for:
- Education
- Completion of a University degree or college diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- Experience
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in full-cycle recruitment.
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience with full cycle student coop recruitment.
- Demonstrated expertise working with Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) with the ability to manage multiple calendars and manipulate Excel for tracking and reporting purposes.
- Experience in a fast paced environment managing competing priorities and deadline driven environment.
- Proficiency with using and administering an Applicant Tracking System (Taleo is an asset).
- Experience with using an HRIS system, Oracle and asset
- Experience recruiting in a unionized environment and the ability to read and interpret collective agreements.

- Security clearance eligibility required
- Reliability Status with Site Access Security Clearance (SASC), which has a minimum requirement of 3-5 years of verifiable history in Canada, Australia, New Zealand, the United States and/or the United Kingdom. CNL implements security screening in accordance with the Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat's “Standard on Security Screening” and the “Policy on Government Security.”
Working Conditions:
- Ability to work well under pressure and remain calm during high-volume periods.
- Maybe required to perform overtime when required.
- Must be able to work remotely and attend CNL site as necessary
- Occasional day and overnight travel (Job fairs, Conferences, Site Visits, Hiring Campaigns Off-site, etc.) may be required through Ontario manly.
