What you will be doing!
- Developing detailed understanding of client business process and applicable requirement
- Identifying gaps and/ improvement opportunities, design solutions, obtaining approval for changes to the document and records repository’s information architecture and metadata
- Implementing Information Architecture and records management configuration changes
- Developing and delivering education programs for information management processes and tools to ensure IM requirements and processes are understood by users, and compliance is maintained
- Overseeing the documents and records repository’s information architecture and metadata, implement changes as required by the evolution of the business and/ or requirements
- Providing functional technical support to the company’s document and records repository, troubleshooting use access, workflow and other system usability issues
- Managing user access to the Records repository, setting up and modifying user permissions and release codes throughout the EDRMS
- Monitoring trends, identifying challenges, analyses and solves problems using standard policies, procedures, modifications of standard procedures or previously developed methods.
- Developing documentation internal to IM and assisting the development of company-wide documentation to ensure compliance with IM requirement
- Providing estimates for, plan and run small IM projects
What we are looking for:
- Education
- Certification Information/ Records Management/ business analysis/ process management, or demonstrated equivalent acquired through working experience
- Experience
- Minimum of five (5) years of cumulative practical experience in Records and Information Management
- Minimum of two (2) years working knowledge of Open Text Content Suite or comparable EDRMS technology
- Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Demonstrated skills in process mapping, developing taxonomies and analysis of Information Management processes
- Document Control Certification an asset
- Security Clearance Eligibility Required
- Reliability Status with Site Access Security Clearance (SASC), which has a minimum requirement of 3 years of verifiable history in Canada, Australia, New Zealand, the United States and/or the United Kingdom. CNL implements security screening in accordance with the Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat's “Standard on Security Screening” and the “Policy on Government Security.”

Location :
CNL works with employees across Canada to enable a remote workforce where possible. This role requires occasional work at CNL’s Chalk River Laboratory site, permitting the employee to primarily work remotely, should they so desire. CNL employees who choose to work remotely the majority of the time are provided with the equipment required to be successful at their remote workplace (laptop, chair, monitor, etc.); however, they are not provided a dedicated onsite office. CNL’s Chalk River laboratory is nestled in the Ottawa Valley. It affords our employees an area that is environmentally pristine with extensive forests, hills and numerous small lakes, all of which support a variety of wildlife typical to the southern edge of the Canadian Shield.
