E.S. Fox Limited is looking for Senior Project Manager to join our Bruce County, Ontario based team.
Summary of the Role:
The Senior Project Manager demonstrates exemplary leadership, awareness, and involvement in all phases and aspects of complex nuclear construction projects.
Key Requirements, Experience, and Skills:
- Minimum of 5 years of project management experience in complex Nuclear Construction Projects, 15 years plus preferred.
- Extensive previous experience in foundational competencies of a Project Manager such as estimating, scheduling, procurement, construction, and engineering.
- Demonstrated commitment to fair and ethical conduct.
- Demonstrated commitment to safety, quality, and the achievement of them through planning, adherence to procedures, and active oversight.
- Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement and challenging the status quo.
- Demonstrated ability to be engaged in immediate term, medium term and longer-term issues concurrently.
- Demonstrated conflict resolution skills.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver on commitments. As promised, on time, and on budget.
- Must have strong technical, managerial, interpersonal and leadership skills.
- At ease with public speaking.
Education Requirements (or combination of):
- CCA Gold Seal Program
- Degree in Engineering or related field
- Community College Technologist/Technician Diploma
- Professional Certification in Project Management
Key Responsibilities:
- Applies the skills and experience listed above for the betterment of the Project and to mentor less seasoned employees.
- A primary leader, taking leadership responsibility and accountability for a safe, quality, on time and on budget project being achieved.
- Represents E.S. Fox Limited as a primary point of contact with the owner's representatives in a professional, businesslike and reasonable manner.
- Ensures the project is executed in a safe & environmentally sound manner following Client and S. Fox Limited safety policies, ISO 18001, ISO 14001 and OSHA requirements.
- Develops overall project schedules and reviews that there is accurate and appropriate maintenance, progress, communication of schedules and project reporting requirements.
- Understands fully the project scope boundaries and keeps the team within them.
- Understands the contractual requirements between E.S. Fox Limited and the owner and keeps the team within them.
- Ensures the project is adequately resourced for proper control and execution.
- Develops or oversees the development of all project requisitions and works with the procurement group to obtain all material in accordance with project schedules, best price, and passing through conditions and warranties imposed on E.S. Fox Limited by client.
- Recognizes and retains productive workforce. Addresses unproductive or underutilized workforce.
- Maintains risk and opportunity logs, as well as prepare mitigation and recovery plans should the risks be realized.
- Reviews weekly actual spends and schedule progress against plan. Develops time and cost estimates/forecasts and champions cost reduction strategies.
- Embraces innovation and challenges assumptions and the status quo.
- Contributes to/inspires the esprit de corps. (a feeling of pride, fellowship, and common loyalty shared by members of the team)
- This senior position has an important role in business continuity by developing the next generation of E.S. Fox Limited leadership through mentorship and example.
