Position and Responsibilities
Cameco Fuel Manufacturing is one of two fuel suppliers serving Canada's reactor fleet and is the largest Canadian-based fabricator of in-core reactor components for CANDU reactors around the world. There is an immediate need for a CGSB Level 2 with current RT (Radiographic Testing) and PT (Penetrant Testing) method certifications to join an innovative team that supports Cameco’s mission to Energize a Clean Air World.
The successful candidate will become a member of the Cobourg Quality Assurance team, reporting to the Cobourg Quality Verification Supervisor – NDE Disciplines, providing our stakeholders with objective evidence that product requirements are met through effective quality planning, evaluation and improvement.
Additional inspection activities such as visual and dimensional evaluation may be required at times, although the position’s primary focus is non-destructive evaluation.
You will ensure that all work is performed safely, efficiently and in compliance with approved procedures, and that proper and complete documentation is maintained.
Education and Qualifications
Requirements of the position:
- Valid CGSB 48.9712 Level 2 RT/PT Certification
- Understanding of ASME Section III NB, NC, and ND; ASME Section V; CSA N285.6
- Proficiency in MS Office applications
- Understanding of Metrology
- Strong team player
- Must be able to work shift work and flexible hours when needed
Assets:
- Previous nuclear industry experience
- Previous Quality Inspection experience
