Position and Responsibilities
Reporting to the superintendent, maintenance, the lead planner/scheduler provides key support to maximize work management performance. The lead planner/scheduler oversees a team of planners responsible for planning and scheduling of all preventative, predictive and corrective maintenance activities at the conversion facility to ensure the most efficient and effective utilization of maintenance resources and equipment. A key focus of this team is to drive a culture of reliability. This includes:
- Ensuring all maintenance jobs are planned and scheduled with safety at the forefront
- Ensuring communication of planned work to all affected parties
- Ensure consistency and adherence to established processes, as well as continuous improvement
- Overseeing the site backlog of identified work
- Providing analytical support to the maintenance superintendent
Education and Qualifications
- Possess a relevant college diploma or advanced trade certification
- 3-5 years in a leadership position
- 5+ years experience as a maintenance planner/scheduler
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication and leadership skills
- Proven ability to achieve results
- Organized and self-motivated
- Advanced understanding of SAP Plant Maintenance and Materials Management modules
- Experienced in KPI development and continuous improvement initiatives
- Strong MS-Office skills, in particular advanced Excel analytical skills.
- CMRP and/or MMP designation
Assets:
- Knowledge and experience with Prometheus Advanced, Primavera P6 and MS-Project software
