CNC Machinist (Lathe or Mill) - Afternoon Shift

How will you contribute to the team?
To perform this role successfully, the candidate will be responsible for but not limited to the following:
oPerform programming, set-up, and machining, using Manual and CNC Lathe or Milling machine
oComplete the machining process from start to finish – including programming, 100% independently
oKnowledge of Fanuc and Mazak controls
oMasterCam (or other Cad/Cam software) knowledge a definite asset on lathe, mandatory for milling applicants
oWire EDM programming and setup a definite asset
oProficient ability to read drawings and accurately machine close-tolerance parts often within 0.0005” tolerance
oEfficiently and safely use machines; keep tooling, machines, and work areas clean and organized
oWork with minimal to no supervision
oBe accountable to machine shop supervisor and/or job leader as applicable
oWork according to quality procedures
oWork in a safe manner and follow jurisdictional safety rules
oBe available to work planned overtime when/if needed
What will you contribute?
o5 to 10 years of relevant experience
oSecondary School Graduation Diploma or equivalent
oCompleted a general machinist apprenticeship program or equivalent.
oProficient in reading drawings
oExperience with CAD/CAM Software
oCompleted a CNC training program
oGood verbal and written communication
oAbility to work effectively as a member of a team
oAble to pass certification requirements for operation of overhead cranes
oMust be willing to be designated as a Nuclear Energy Worker (NEW)
