Key Lake, located in northern Saskatchewan, is the world’s largest high-grade uranium mill. The uranium milled at Key Lake is used for nuclear fuel products, which utilities around the world rely on to generate safe, reliable, emissions-free nuclear power. Cameco is one of the largest global providers of the uranium fuel needed to energize a clean-air world.
The Role
As a student in the radiation department, you will assist in ensuring compliance for the radiation protection program. You will collect, maintain and record radiation data from the facilities as well as issue radiation work permits.
In this role you will:
- Assist in ensuring compliance for the radiation protection program throughout the operation
- Collect, maintain, and record radiation data as well as issue radiation work permits
- Conduct routine monitoring and assess working conditions pertaining to radiation protection for the safety of all workers
Required:
- You are currently enrolled in a science-based post-secondary education program and possess strong communication and computer skills
- You must be returning to school for the academic semester following your work term with Cameco
- Work a rotational schedule and commute to site by aircraft
