Position and Responsibilities
The Training Specialist will provide training and development on a wide range of topics including new hire orientation, safety training, equipment training, and/or technical training. The Training Specialist will:
- Provide end-to-end training development using a systematic approach to training. A systematic approach to training is the application of the ADDIE (Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement, Evaluate) model in a way that meets regulatory requirements.
- Perform needs analyses.
- Design training content, training plans, and curricula.
- Develop training for face-to-face, eLearning, and on-the-job (OJT) training.
- Facilitate training on a wide range of topics including safety, soft skills, and technical.
- Evaluate learner success and training effectiveness.
- Train within our production facilities.
- Work onsite full-time (no remote work)
Qualifications and Requirements
Qualifications:
- College or university degree (required)
- Certificate in adult education, complete or in-progress (preferred).
Required Experience:
- Experience using the ADDIE model.
- Experience developing training through a systematic approach to training.
- Strong facilitation skills in the classroom and using virtual platforms.
- Experience developing eLearning using tools like Articulate Storyline.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven ability to build relationships and work collaboratively within the team and with stakeholders.
- Ability to manage time, meet deadlines, and work independently toward established goals.
- Focus on safety for self and others.
Recommended (not required)
- Experience working in an industrial setting.
- Familiar with using a learning management system (preferred) and SharePoint libraries (preferred).
- Experience operating or training on mobile equipment is an asset, but not required.
